Terms of Service
Last updated: March 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wallet application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Wallet ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Acceptable Use
Wallet is designed for personal and household finance tracking. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Abuse the Service in any manner that degrades it for other users
3. Subscription Terms
Wallet offers Free, Basic, Pro, and Business tiers. Paid subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective refund policies. Usage limits are enforced server-side based on your subscription tier.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. User-Submitted Content
You may submit content such as deal tips or product information. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and share that content with other users of the Service. We may moderate user-submitted content at our discretion.
5. Receipt Data Accuracy
OCR extraction of receipt data is provided on a best-effort basis. While we strive for accuracy, extracted data may contain errors. You should verify critical financial data manually. We are not responsible for decisions made based on inaccurate OCR results.
6. Household Features
The household owner manages membership and can invite or remove members. Shared data is visible to all household members. When you share a receipt or list with your household, all current members can view that data. You can control which items are shared and which remain private.
7. Service Availability
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available." While we aim for reliability and work to minimize downtime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.
8. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Where possible, we will provide notice before taking action. You may appeal a suspension by contacting us via our Contact page.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wallet and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Ontario.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
